Rana and Bryan were raised in California. In the 90’s they met, married, and started a family. Things went along quite well and Rana was very happy as a domestic engineer, managing the Marshall household while Bryan was at his “day job“.
The Marshall’s came to the soap business by coincidence. While Bryan was hard at work, Rana had tried her hand at a number of “ventures” that gave her lots of business experience, but left her family out. It was during one of these busy ventures that Bryan came home from work to say his coworker, Mary, was giving up her soap business. Mary had been making beautiful glycerin scented soap since 2000 and selling it to Bryan at work. Unfortunately, a change in health forced the “bubbly couple” (Mary and Richard) to retire from soap. Bryan suggested that Rana buy the business. After much thought, many prayers, and quite a bit of research, Rana & Bryan decided to take over Mary’s business.
Initially, learning to make soap seemed a bit overwhelming, but soon Rana got the hang of it, and after making soap with Mary during 2006, Rana and Bryan have ventured into their own kitchen for some good clean fun!
“The McMillan’s did all the hard work in figuring out what works best for this kind of business,” Rana said, “and we plan to do things just as they did.”
Rana loves the creative process and the chance to produce something truly unique and beautiful. Bryan enjoys keeping busy with something productive. Both Rana and Bryan look forward to the people they will meet and the challenges and fun this adventure will bring.
